I provide individual counselling and couples or marital counselling to people who want to make change in their relationship pattern and themselves so they can have the relationships they most want.

Office Location:

I see clients in my White Rock/South Surrey office (near South Point Centre).

Office Hours:

My office hours are 10:00am-5:30pm with some earlier appointment times available. Sessions are available Tuesday to Friday.

Length of Sessions:

Generally, I meet with people according to their needs and their goals. I will decide together what works best for you and your schedule.

• Initial sessions:
  For both Individuals and Couples, initial sessions are 2 hours long. This allows me to get an in-depth overview of your concerns and a considerable “trial” run of the type of counselling I do. I will see how effectively we can work together with this concentrated time. Often clients begin to make changes and gains in their relationship patterns within the first session!
• On-going sessions:
  For Individual therapy, on-going sessions are 60-90 minutes long, depending on your needs.
  
  For Couples, on-going sessions are 90 minutes to two hours long. I recommend couples commit to six sessions minimum before making any decisions about ending couples therapy or their relationship.
  
  I have a ten session pre-payment option recommended for clients who are wanting to commit to continued sessions for themselves.

Length of Therapy:

Length of individual or couples therapy usually depends upon various factors, including seriousness of the problem, how engrained your unhealthy relationship patterns are and how far you want to take your relationship. Length of therapy differs for each client and couple.

Statistics show that individual and couples therapy with a focus on intense feelings and engrained patterns tends to be briefer than many other types of therapy. With this focus, there is also a more positive, healthy response to the therapy in a relatively shorter term (average number of sessions is 8-20 sessions).
